Dear Parents,
We hope you have had a wonderful holiday season. We are excited to get back for the second semester at OJH/OHS.
Some changes you will see in our building second semester will be the welcomed addition of Mr. Sumpter as our Biology instructor and 6th grade science teacher. For those sophomores who happened to be taking Biology online they will begin taking the course with Mr. Sumpter starting on January 3rd, 2025.
After our winter FastBridge assessments we are now going to begin offering two classes for the junior high students during the day that will provide additional support for any student who is identified as “some risk” or “high risk” according to the FastBridge test. This course, Strategic Reading, will help students with vocabulary work, reading comprehension, phonetic skills, and tips for technical reading. This course will be taught by Mrs. Gregory. The high school students who are identified as “some risk” or “high risk” according to the FastBridge Test will take their Strategic Reading class from 2:39 - 3:09 PM. With that being said, your students schedule will have some changes to it during the second semester.
If you have any further questions about the assessment or schedule changes we will be happy to answer any questions to the best of our ability.

Students will have time for tutoring at 3:09 PM until the end of the school day as well as 7:35 AM.
