Hello from Ron Orsak, USD 392 Superintendent!

Osborne is an outstanding community which offers lots of opportunities and I am excited, grateful, and honored to start my first year as superintendent of Osborne County Schools, USD392.

This will be my 23rd year in education. Most recently, I spent seven years as the principal of Cheney Middle School. Before this I was an AP/AD for McPherson Middle School for a year, and my other fifteen years was as a teacher of history in Wichita and Texas. My wife of 30 years, Lisa, also works in education. We have two sons: the oldest, Tristan, lives in Wichita and works as a freight broker; Xander, the youngest, will be attending Hutchinson CC to become a radiology technician. I feel blessed to have a healthy, loving family and to be able to work in education.

The Bulldogs and Bullpups have a record of academic excellence and numerous accomplishments in athletics, the arts, and other activities. Listening to and working with students, staff, parents, community members, local businesses, city and county government is how I plan to continue and grow our successes. We want to meet the needs of each and every student so they are able to reach beyond their potential. All kiddos deserve a place where they feel safe, accepted, and welcomed to come learn and interact with their peers. They will find it here in Osborne schools. We will be educating them in academic content, social / employability skills, as well as how to be a productive member of our community and the world. We also expect our students to be lifelong learners. Having this as an expectation means you will see me modeling it. This will be true for any expectations set for students and staff. I will not ask anyone to do something I am not willing to do as well. Good manners, respect, empathy, and integrity are characteristics you will see me demonstrating. I am looking forward to meeting and working with each of you as we strive to help our students reach greatness.

Sincerely, Ron Orsak
