Osborne Junior-Senior High School, which includes the communities of Osborne, Alton, and Portis, is home to 113 students. The high school is a Class 1A school, and along with the junior high, are now members of the Northern Plains League.

The school offers a wide variety of academic, liberal arts, and vocational classes for its students. In the past several years, both the high school and junior high have enjoyed great success in the classroom and students in both schools have achieved the State’s Standard of Excellence in both Reading and Math.

There is a wide variety of extra-curricular activities offered by the schools, such as music, speech and drama, scholar bowl, organizations, and athletics. Graduates have access to one of the finest scholarship programs in the state.
