USD 392 would like to honor our Head Football Coach Steve Tiernan on his outstanding accomplishment as a coach! Coach Tiernan reached his 200th win at on November 20th when they Bulldogs got the win against Fairfield-Langdon. As of today, Coach Tiernan has achieved 202 after Friday night's game against Rural Vista.
Coach Tiernan’s career football stats are as follows...
While coaching with the Baileyville Falcons from 2002-2010: (90 wins to 15 loses)
While coaching with the Solomon Gorillas from 2015-2018: (32 wins to 12 loses)
And while coaching with the Osborne Bulldogs from 2011-2014 and 2019 to present (80 wins to 18 loses)
202 wins - 45 losses for a winning percentage of 82% with 4 state championships. Two at Baileyville and two at Osborne.
Coach Strait says, “Although Coach Tiernan will never take credit for it he has been a staple of Kansas 8 man football. He’s built multiple programs into championship contenders all while being humble about his success. He is a great leader, coach, and friend. Congratulations Coach.”
Coach Blair says, “ I know that Coach Tiernan doesn’t like anything extra, but this is an accomplishment that not many achieve in our profession. I am proud to be a part of Coach Tiernan’s program at Osborne. Congratulations Coach Tiernan.”
